ABOUT
This $40 million fine art program is one of the world´s largest and most ambitious corporate art programs. Opening in late 2009, CityCenter features public installations of both large-scale commissions and acquisitions by such acclaimed artists as Maya Lin, Jenny Holzer, Nancy Rubins, Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen, Frank Stella, Henry Moore, Richard Long, Francois-Xavier Lalanne and Isa Genzken, among others- transforming CityCenter´s entire 67 acres into a museum of contemporary masterpieces. Four years of architectural design and construction collaboration created one of the most impressive publicly accessible corporate art collections known to date.

“In 2005, MGM Resorts International embarked on a groundbreaking effort to develop a mixed-use project on the Las Vegas Strip. CityCenter was complicated and ambitious. Having enlisted some of the world’s finest architects and designers to realize the company’s vision for the project, it seemed a natural that [we] would enlist some of the world’s brightest artists when company executives suggested that the project should have a fine art collection that ultimately would be accessible and experienced by the public.
To accomplish the creation and curating of this unique first-of-its-kind Fine Art Collection in the history of Las Vegas, Michele Quinn and her team at MCQ FINE ART were brought on in 2006 as the lead art consultant on the project, until CityCenter’s completion in late 2010.”

“
Michele was personally and extensively involved with all levels of the development and implementation of the $40 million fine art program, from advising on certain artists, acquisition and commissioning process, coordination with the artist teams, integration with the architectural design and construction planning process to final installation.
She and her team provided a level of professionalism and detail that was on par with the international architects and designers that were involved with the project. The collection has proven itself to be a valuable asset to the Company and to the community of Las Vegas. I would highly recommend Michele as a fine art advisor for any corporate collection.”
